Children's residential home and are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the service on a permanent basis. You will provide residential care and support for Children and Young People who are not able to continue living in their current environment for a number of different reasons. As Registered Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, working closely with the Responsible Individual and wider leadership team. You'll help shape the service, build a strong team and ensure the home provides a safe, supportive environment that meets the needs of the young people. You'll provide leadership across safeguarding, care planning, staff management, compliance and quality assurance, while ensuring the home is prepared to meet and maintain Ofsted standards. Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes and promote independence. Ensuring children receive high quality, individualised care and support Managing staffing, rotas, budgets and the day to day operation of the service The post holder will also have a sound understanding of ensuring that Health and Safety Regulations are followed at all times. Ensure the home's ethos is embedded in the shifts and that children are involved in the day-to-day running of the service. Take responsibility for overseeing safeguarding children and supporting the team to reduce the risks. Ensure care planning, key working, safeguarding, incidents, health, education and activities recording is completed in the required timeframe and to the required standard. Ensure that Care Reviews Reports are prepared in advance and that Children are prepared and supported during the review process. You will be responsible for the administration of related financial management, ensuring that budgets are maintained and that any overspends are identified as soon as possible. What We're Looking For Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent Previous experience managing a children's residential home Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation Experience supporting children with EBD and complex needs Strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning, compliance and quality assurance Experience leading, managing and developing a team Ability to establish a positive culture and maintain high standards of care The post holder must be prepared to change working patterns with notice, and also support in emergency staffing situations. A sound working knowledge of the statutory requirements related to children's residential care. Understanding children's education, health, social, emotional and psychological needs of looked after children and ensuring these needs are met.
