The Family Support Worker provides practical, emotional, and advocacy support to children, young people, and families to help improve their wellbeing, strengthen family relationships, and promote positive outcomes.
The role involves working directly with families, assessing needs, developing support plans, and collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure families receive appropriate support.
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children, young people, parents, and carers.
- Conduct assessments to identify family strengths, needs, and areas requiring support.
- Develop and implement tailored support plans to help families achieve their goals.
- Provide practical guidance on parenting, child development, behaviour management, and family relationships.
