Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring the highest level of care, education and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise occupancy and revenue, monitoring budgets.
  • Develop best practice, supervise and train the team, providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain accurate records and monitor the nursery's estates and aesthetics.
  • Support marketing and promotion to attract new customers; build the nursery's brand and reputation.
  • Attend monthly meetings and contribute to community partnerships and environmental initiatives.
  • Foster creative programmes for children, including stay‑and‑play, intergenerational care, woodwork, forest school, mini‑master chefs, music, dance, language and sports.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year in early years leadership.
  • Knowledge of Early Years Legislation and Ofsted requirements.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer software, especially Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 in Childcare & Development (as per the UK qualifications checklist).
  • English GCSE or equivalent; maths GCSE desirable.
  • Driver's licence desirable.
