NurtureCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our award-winning team working in special schools across Derby City and Derbyshire. This is a term-time position ideal for a nurse who thrives in a child-focused, collaborative, and community-based environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver hands-on nursing care for children and young people with complex health needs (e.g. epilepsy, enteral feeding, tracheostomy care).
  • Support and supervise school staff in delivering delegated health procedures, using the TEACH competency framework.
  • Build trusted relationships with pupils, families, and school teams.
  • Contribute to the development and review of Individual Healthcare Plans (IHCPs).
  • Escalate health or safeguarding concerns and participate in multi-agency planning.

What We’re Looking For

  • NMC Registered Nurse (Child Branch or LD preferred).
  • Experience working with CYP in schools, community or paediatric settings.
  • Confident in your clinical practice and calm under pressure.
  • A great communicator, team player, and advocate for inclusion and safety.
