We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and proactive Estate Manager to oversee the management and performance of a large residential portfolio of over 3,500 social housing properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who can demonstrate strong leadership, compliance knowledge, and the ability to think on their feet in a fast–paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard, staff are effectively managed, and all regulatory and legal compliance requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day–to–day management of a portfolio of 3,500+ social housing properties
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of staff, ensuring high performance and accountability
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant housing legislation, health & safety regulations, and internal policies
- Manage property standards, maintenance programmes, and contractor performance
- Respond quickly and effectively to operational issues, demonstrating strong problem–solving ability
- Monitor budgets and ensure cost–effective service delivery
- Build positive working relationships with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and implement best practice initiatives
- Produce reports and maintain accurate records as required
- Proven experience within social housing
- Demonstrated experience managing staff and operational teams
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements within property or housing environments
- Ability to manage a large and diverse property portfolio
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
