SENDCo - The Role

  • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school
  • Identifying, assessing and monitoring pupils with additional needs
  • Supporting teachers with planning and adapting learning
  • Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team
  • Liaising with parents, carers and external agencies
  • Ensuring SEND provision meets statutory requirements

Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
