Nurture Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming secondary school in South East London (Brockley). This is a rewarding opportunity to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive school environment.
The role will include:
- Supporting students with core subjects (Maths, English and Science).
- Supporting students in class on a 1:1 basis and in small groups across KS3 and KS4.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
- Providing targeted support for students with additional needs, particularly those with ASD and SEMH.
- Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams to monitor progress and wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of one year's experience supporting secondary-aged students, ideally across KS3 and KS4.
- Previous experience working with students with ASD and SEMH needs.
- A calm, patient and resilient approach with strong behaviour management skills; Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed both academically and personally.
