Nurture Education is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and talented Peripatetic Music Teacher to work across a number of welcoming and high-achieving primary schools in Croydon. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a passionate music educator who can inspire young learners through engaging and creative music lessons. Schools are seeking a dedicated teacher who can develop pupils' musical abilities, build confidence and encourage a lifelong appreciation of music.

As a Peripatetic Music Teacher, you will deliver high-quality instrumental and music tuition to pupils of varying ages and abilities, supporting both individual progress and wider school music initiatives.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging instrumental and music lessons to primary-aged pupils.
  • Teach one-to-one, small group and whole-class music sessions.
  • Inspire pupils to develop musical skills, creativity and confidence.
  • Prepare pupils for school concerts, performances and music events.
  • Support schools in enhancing their music provision and curriculum.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to pupils and parents.
  • Encourage participation in music activities across the school community.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, school leaders and families.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Peripatetic Music Teacher, Instrumental Teacher or Music Tutor.
  • Strong practical music skills and the ability to teach one or more instruments.
  • Experience working with children in schools or educational settings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for music education and inspiring young musicians.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
