Nurture Education are seeking Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of schools in central and greater London.

The Role

Teaching assistants help teachers with their duties in the classroom, often providing support to small groups of children who have additional needs in a specific area.

This can also include working with children who have special educational needs (SEN) that the teacher cannot always accommodate in a mainstream class. Teaching assistants can also be present in main lessons to assist students who require additional support.

As a teaching assistant you may also help teachers prepare for lessons by preparing resources, or organising equipment at the start of a lesson. Teaching assistants are not qualified teachers, and so are led and guided by teachers.

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Current DBS certificate or the intention to apply (we can help)

  • Proactive and positive attitude to strive for pupil development

  • Relative certification/qualification
  • University degree
  • GCSE A*-C or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with children
