A forward-thinking Primary School is seeking a SEND Specialist Teacher to lead and support its in-school alternative provision, working with pupils who require a more tailored and flexible approach to learning. This is a key role within the school and would suit a teacher with strong SEND, SEMH or inclusion experience who is confident supporting pupils outside of mainstream classroom structures while maintaining high expectations and positive outcomes.
The Role
- Leading and delivering teaching within an alternative provision setting
- Supporting pupils with complex SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs
- Designing personalised learning approaches to meet individual needs
- Working closely with senior leaders, SENCO and pastoral teams
- Supporting reintegration into mainstream classes where appropriate
- Maintaining a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment
