Nurture Education is seeking an experienced and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary therapy team within a specialist post-16 education setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist looking for a term-time-only role while continuing to deliver high-quality clinical input to young people with complex needs.

You will provide specialist speech and language therapy support to students aged 16-25 with a wide range of needs, including severe and profound learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and complex physical needs. You will work autonomously to manage your own caseload while also being part of an established, supportive multidisciplinary team with opportunities for cross-site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering specialist SALT assessment and intervention
  • Supporting communication development, including the use of AAC
  • Managing and prioritising a clinical caseload independently
  • Leading and directing a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
  • Working collaboratively with education staff, therapists, and families
  • Contributing to integrated, holistic support plans for students
The Ideal Candidate
  • Is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist
  • Is HCPC registered and responsible for maintaining registration
  • Has specialist skills in communication and AAC
  • Has experience working with young people with learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Is confident working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to inclusive practice
