Teaching Assistant needed urgently – Secondary School near Cranleigh. Nurture Education is recruiting on behalf of a supportive secondary school near Cranleigh for a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in education, as previous experience is not essential and full training will be provided.
Working Monday to Friday on a full-time basis, you will play a key role in supporting students across KS3 and KS4 with ASD and SEMH needs. You will work closely with teaching staff to help students engage in learning, build confidence and make positive progress in a structured and nurturing school environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting KS3 and KS4 students with ASD and SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assisting students in core subjects and helping them to access the curriculum successfully.
- Promoting positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation throughout the school day.
- Providing consistent support tailored to individual student needs.
- Supporting personal care where necessary, as accidents can happen and students may require practical assistance.
