As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning, encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed.

The Role – Teaching Assistant

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and organisation of learning resources.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND where required.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Requirements – Teaching Assistant

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or within a school setting is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's education and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
