Nurture Care Group is dedicated to improving the lives of children aged up to 18 who have experienced significant trauma. We provide high-quality, therapeutic medium to long-term care in loving, stable homes, ensuring children feel safe, nurtured, and supported as they process their past experiences and grow. Our trauma-informed approach integrates clinical assessments and therapies such as DDP, EMDR, TLS, T-CBT, and NMT-informed methods. Role Description

This is an on-site full-time role, based in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, for a Team Leader at Nurture Care Group. The Team Leader will oversee day-to-day operations within our therapeutic residential home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for children. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising team members
  • Maintaining compliance with care standards
  • Fostering a nurturing and safe environment
  • Supporting therapeutic interventions
  • Monitoring performance
  • Providing training and guidance
  • Maintaining strong relationships with both the children and team to achieve positive outcomes

Qualifications

  • Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to inspire, guide, and develop staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with children and foster positive working relationships with the team
  • Organisational and problem-solving abilities to ensure smooth daily operations and address challenges effectively
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies, along with compliance standards for residential care environments
  • Experience in working with children who have experienced trauma, with a strong understanding of their needs and well-being
  • A Diploma level 3 or 4 in Childrens Residential Care
  • Flexibility and a compassionate approach to meet the diverse requirements of the role and the children in our care
