A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Credit Team Leader to join a dynamic Finance team based in Little Eaton Derby. This is a key role within the department, offering hybrid working (upon successful completion of probation) to support a positive work-life balance. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the daily performance of the Credit Team while actively managing your own ledger. The main focus of the role is to maximise cash collections within agreed payment terms, reduce aged debt, and effectively manage credit risk across the business. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, as you’ll be expected to maintain clear, professional communication with both internal colleagues and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Developing and improving reporting dashboard for key stakeholders
- Leadership, coaching and development of a small team
- Ownership of sensitive and challenging clients
- Ledger reviews, 121’s and annual performance review
- Statement and letter cycles
- Dispute management/resolution
- Debt escalation process including management of 3rd party relationships
- Timely and accurate maintenance of customer master data
- Support internal and external audits
- Involvement in projects and continuous improvement in Finance
- Reporting on specific projects or departments performance
- Responsibility for the finance team ticketing system
- Ad Hoc tasks
Desirable
- Experience with NetSuite & MS Dynamics
- Intermediate Excel knowledge (Pivots etc)
- Knowledge of Direct debit process
- Strong commercial awareness
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CICM Qualified min level 3 or QBE
- Experience of managing an offshore team
- Experience with Power BI

Working hours
9 am – 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday, based at our Little Eaton Office in Derby.
