We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team and help shape the future of our service. Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership
- Provide strong leadership and clinical direction to the care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Act as the lead point of contact for clinical queries, supporting staff in managing complex care cases.
- Lead clinical assessments, care planning, and the development of personalized care pathways for clients with complex needs.
- Ensure care plans are followed, regularly reviewed, and updated in accordance with clients' evolving health conditions.
- Oversee the management of clinical risks and ensure compliance with best practice guidelines and CQC standards.
- Staff Management and Training
- Supervise and mentor a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, providing ongoing clinical support and professional development.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and retention of clinical staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care.
- Organise and deliver clinical training programmes, including competency assessments for staff.
- Regular clinical supervision and appraisals should be conducted to monitor performance and development.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure that all clinical practices adhere to CQC regulations and standards of care.
- Lead on clinical audits, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of care provided.
- Implement policies and procedures that align with clinical governance and risk management frameworks.
- Investigate and address clinical incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure a safe, effective, and responsive service.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and external healthcare professionals.
- Attend client reviews and multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for the clinical needs of the service users.
- Work closely with commissioners and other stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets expectations and contractual requirements.
- Service Development
- Play a key role in shaping and developing the clinical services offered by NursLink Homecare.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in service delivery.
- Contribute to strategic planning and the development of new care packages and services.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Significant experience in complex care, ideally in a community or home care setting.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role, with the ability to lead and inspire a clinical team.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and clinical governance.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of long-term conditions, ventilator care, tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, etc.
- Experience in conducting clinical assessments, developing care plans, and managing clinical risk.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and delivering exceptional care.
Job Types: Part‑time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Freelance
Pay: £25.00‑£35.00 per hour
