You\’ll need a full driving license and have access to your own vehicle for this Live-in Carer role, as this particular client wants to access the community.
About the RoleThis is a live-in role supporting a woman with an incomplete C3 spinal injury. She uses a suprapubic catheter, needs support with bowel care, and has a solid routine in place including physiotherapy sessions and hydro pool time. Her home is well-equipped with a lift, hoist, and powered wheelchair—and she knows exactly how she likes things done. You\’ll be supporting with:
Personal care in a respectful, calm way
Hoisting, repositioning, and general mobility support
Catheter and bowel care when she\’s unwell (full training provided)
Maintaining her CPAP ventilator
Helping with meals, light household tasks, and being around if her husband needs a hand
Going along to appointments or community outings
Keeping an eye on blood pressure and oxygen levels when needed
She is looking for female carers who are friendly, bubbly, consistent, and understand the importance of getting things right without taking over.
