Are you a calm, compassionate, and reliable Support Worker in Caerphilly looking for a rewarding care role? We’re hiring for a position supporting a 9-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and visual impairment in the Newbridge area. She is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair, but her joy shines through with every smile—especially when listening to Elvis or watching her favourite Disney films. Familiarity, gentle reassurance, and calm care make all the difference in her day.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll be supporting her during mornings, evenings, or full weekends in a home environment.
  • This is a hands-on but nurturing role focused on emotional wellbeing and routine care.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing sitting support while she rests (monitoring for seizures or discomfort)
  • Ensuring emotional comfort and gentle communication
  • Responding calmly to distress with reassurance
  • Light personal care, including pad changes as shown by her family
  • Working safely in a small bedroom space with hoisting equipment (training provided)

  • Experience with epilepsy, PEG care, or cerebral palsy (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A calm, kind, and emotionally aware approach

  • A full UK driving licence with business insurance and access to your own vehicle
