About the team and what we do

This role is offered on a fixed term basis for a period of 18 months. To provide programme management to lead the design, development and implementation of a significant change programme covering policy, people, and process and system changes. To be responsible for the successful delivery of the programme objectives to the agreed budget and timeframe and enable the realisation of required benefits both short and longer term. To ensure that change is seamlessly embedded into NMC business operations and the new arrangements are adopted to realise the benefits sought.

Your role and impact:

As Programme Manager, you'll take ownership of a significant change programme from conception through to successful delivery and embedded operation. You'll be the key catalyst behind transformational initiatives, leading cross-functional teams to deliver policy, people, process and system changes that directly impact our regulatory effectiveness. Your leadership will ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve their intended benefits. You'll be responsible for navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that change is seamlessly integrated into business-as-usual operations through collaborative approaches. The outcomes we want to see are successful programme delivery that enhances NMC's regulatory capabilities, improved operational efficiency, and sustained benefit realisation that supports our mission to protect the public.

  • Expert in resource planning in a complex programme, against demand, skills and capacity available.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of contract management.
  • Experience:
  • Significant delivery experience of enterprise change programmes.
  • Translating strategy and high level outcomes into measurable outcomes using programmes as the vehicle for achieving those.
  • Demonstrate significant change leadership that drives culture, process and organisational change within a transformation or programme setting.
