Deputy Manager within a children's residential home in St Helens.

Salary: £43,000- £45,000 per year (depending on experience)

Role:

  • Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day running of the home
  • Lead shifts and provide strong leadership to the care team
  • Ensure care plans and risk assessments are implemented effectively
  • Promote safeguarding, structure and positive behaviour support
  • Support staff supervision, training and development
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies
  • Help create a safe, stable and nurturing environment for young people

Person:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 (desirable)
  • Experience in a children's residential care setting
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
  • Confident leading shifts and supporting a team
  • Able to motivate, guide and develop staff
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Calm, consistent and child-focused approach
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for young people
