As a Nurse Prescriber, your responsibilities will include conducting remote clinical assessments, making diagnoses and prescribing medication while managing clinical care in adherence to local and national regulations, policies and procedures.

Additionally, this role involves supporting the pharmacy, prescribing weight-loss medication and supporting the operational aspects of the business.

You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical team members to help them succeed in their roles, as well as assist the Head of Clinical Operations in ensuring that all clinical areas maintain the highest standards.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough remote consultations to assess clients’ medical history, current health and goals. Identify any contraindications and ensure clients are suitable candidates for vitamin infusions or weight loss medications.
  • Prescribe and tailor vitamin drips and weight loss medications in line with national guidelines, best practices and individual client needs. Ensure correct dosages and formulations are selected to optimise outcomes while minimising risks. Monitor treatment plans and adjust prescriptions as needed to ensure continued efficacy and safety.
  • Provide clear information on the benefits, risks and side effects of treatments. Offer guidance on lifestyle modifications to support weight loss and overall wellness.
  • Regularly monitoring inventory levels to ensure that supplies are maintained at or above standard stock levels to meet operational needs. Track clients’ progress and monitor for adverse reactions or complications. Conduct follow-up consultations to assess the effectiveness of treatments and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure all prescribing activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation. Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery. Ensures CQC compliance.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure seamless client care. Actively participates in the on-call prescribing rota. Stay current with developments in non-medical prescribing, weight loss therapies and intravenous (IV) therapy.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered healthcare professional (e.g., nurse, pharmacist, paramedic) with NMP qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and clinical governance related to vitamin drips and weight loss medications.
  • Excellent consultation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Experience

  • Experience in wellness, weight management, or aesthetic services desirable.
