The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will

  • Provide high-quality, child-centred care and support.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
  • Support children to achieve positive outcomes in education, independence and daily living.
  • Complete accurate records, reports and care documentation.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and wellbeing at all times.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team to create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic home environment.
  • Participate in sleep-in shifts on a rota basis.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential).
  • Previous experience working within a Children's Residential Home.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding and children's legislation.
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
