The Role:
- Registered Manager of a 23 bed children's residential home
- Responsible for day-to-day running of the home and overall service delivery
- Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards
- Lead, supervise, and develop a small residential staff team
- Maintain high safeguarding standards at all times
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement stability
- Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, and service performance
- Build strong relationships with external professionals and agencies
- Drive continuous improvement and positive Ofsted outcomes
The Person Applying Must:
- Be a car driver (essential)
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience in residential children's care
- Hold Level 4/5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent/higher)
- Be an experienced Registered Manager OR very strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted frameworks
- Be a confident leader with proven staff management experience
- Be calm, resilient, and able to handle challenging situations effectively
- Be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
- Have strong organisational and decision-making skills
