About the Role: Resident Doctor Generalist
We are looking for a General Surgical or Acute Medicine Resident Doctor to join our dynamic medical team in Birmingham, West Midlands. This exciting opportunity is based in a state-of-the-art facility, offering cutting-edge technologies and world-class medical care. The position covers general wards and day-case areas, providing a mix of clinical responsibilities, including pre- and post-operative treatments, clinical assessments, ward rounds, and clerking admissions. You will also participate in emergency situations, such as cardiac arrest calls, and collaborate with specialist nurses in a Consultant-led environment.
Key Responsibilities: : Resident Doctor Generalist
- Provide medical care in general wards and day-case areas under Consultant-led decisions.
- Conduct clinical assessments, pre- and post-operative care, and attend ward rounds.
- Lead emergency situations such as cardiac arrest calls and other critical medical emergencies.
- Assess referrals, review discharges, and ensure patients receive the highest level of care.
- Actively contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and internal networks.
- Engage in clinical governance and MDT meetings to enhance patient care and operational processes.
What We’re Looking For: Resident Doctor Generalist
- GMC Registration and License to Practice in the UK
- MBBS Medical qualification
- A current ALS (Advanced Life Support) certificate
- Minimum of 3 years of NHS training in specialty/IMT/CT training
- Postgraduate exams (MRCP or MRCS) are desirable
- Strong teamwork and patient-focused care, with the ability to share best practices and provide excellent patient experiences
