Service: 4-bedded EBD Childrens Home (Ofsted rated GOOD)

The Role:

  • Registered Manager of a 4-bedded EBD childrens home
  • Overall responsibility for the safe and effective running of the service
  • Ensure full compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards
  • Lead, manage, and develop a dedicated residential staff team
  • Oversee safeguarding, care planning, and risk management processes
  • Maintain high standards of care and positive outcomes for young people
  • Manage rotas, staffing levels, budgets, and operational performance
  • Build strong relationships with external professionals and agencies
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain GOOD Ofsted rating

The Person Applying Must:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence (essential car driver required)
  • Have proven experience as a Registered Manager or strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
  • Have a background in childrens residential care, ideally EBD
  • Possess strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
  • Be a confident and capable leader with staff management experience
  • Be calm, resilient, and able to manage challenging situations effectively
  • Be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
  • Have strong organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Be committed to delivering a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment
