Nursing Direct is recruiting experienced and compassionate Band 4 Paediatric Complex Care Support Workers to provide high-quality support to children and young people with complex healthcare needs in the Cranleigh area. The role involves supporting a child within their home environment during night shifts, delivering person-centred care while promoting safety, comfort, wellbeing and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- providing continuous overnight support and monitoring
- assisting with personal care and overnight routines
- recognising and responding to seizure activity
- maintaining accurate care records
- assisting with medication administration in line with training and care plans
- supporting feeding and hydration where required
- following clinical protocols, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
Applicants should have previous experience in paediatric complex care, experience supporting children with complex healthcare needs and seizure disorders or epilepsy, experience providing overnight or waking night care, and a good understanding of safeguarding children.
