Nursing Direct is recruiting experienced and compassionate Band 4 Paediatric Complex Care Support Workers to provide high-quality support to children and young people with complex healthcare needs in the Walton-on-Thames area. This role involves working waking night shifts within a family home, supporting a child with complex care needs while promoting comfort, safety, wellbeing and quality of life through person-centred care. Responsibilities include providing continuous overnight support and monitoring, assisting with personal care and repositioning, supporting feeding and hydration requirements, monitoring changes in health and wellbeing, assisting with medication administration in line with training and care plans, supporting clinical care tasks appropriate to training and experience, maintaining accurate care records and following safeguarding procedures and clinical protocols. Applicants should have previous paediatric, infant or children's care experience, experience supporting children or young people with complex healthcare needs, and availability to undertake regular waking night shifts. Experience with PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, suctioning and oxygen therapy is advantageous.
