We are seeking a management information analyst to support our core business management information and fitness to practise improvement programme.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are experienced in analysing large data sets, understand root causes, and can provide insight that enables data driven decision making.
- Will use their experience to work alongside colleagues to create and implement new ways to turn data into insights and automate data analysis where appropriate.
- An effective communicator who is willing to work with senior stakeholders to make challenging and fair decisions about what our data is telling us.
- Has advanced skills in data manipulation, visualisation and reporting tools, such as MS Excel, Tableau and PowerBI and working knowledge of Dynamics.
- Experience of the processes that underpin data accuracy and quality.
- You will also prepare reports for senior stakeholders and present them to a large audience.
- You will support project boards as a data business partner. A team player who is part of a team that makes progress and relishes new challenges.
- The successful candidate will work within a small data team based within Professional Regulation, work as part of a larger matrix team working on improving fitness to practise data, and work alongside project boards to support our improvement activities.

Successful candidates will be appointed to a particular NMC Office, but you may be required to travel to other NMC locations, that are reasonable daily commute from your home office.
Up to Band 5:
Due to the nature of your role and the work undertaken by the NMC, on very rare occasions you may be required by the NMC or the Courts to assist in litigation proceedings or inquests. This may involve collating information, providing a witness statement, or giving oral evidence on behalf of the NMC.
Hybrid Working Policy
We are currently working to a policy of office attendance for two days per week with the rest of the time working from home. Before making your application please ensure your able to commit to working in one of our office locations twice per week. If you are applying for a part time role please pro-rata office attendance based on number of day you would be working.
It is expected that staff new to the NMC will ordinarily be appointed to the bottom of the relevant pay band. However in exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a salary above the bottom of the relevant pay band but we may request proof of current earnings. Please note that we offer an annual review of salaries and adopt a generous progressive pay approach. Further details of which are available on request.
