About the Role
Our Early Years Educators enable children to engage in a range of play and learning opportunities and to participate in the day‑to‑day activities within the nursery. You will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.
Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Salary: £30,000 per year, full‑time 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. 4 Day Week contracts available: 32 hours (£24,000) or 36 hours (£27,000).

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of a wide range of activities to meet children’s needs.
- Work within the EYFS and promote high standards of care for the children.
- Assume responsibility for key children and ensure their developmental needs are met, accurately recorded and learning diaries are up to date.
- Help maintain a child‑centred environment.
- Use observation and reflective practice to contribute to planning and evaluation in the setting.
- Maintain children’s safety and wellbeing at all times during attendance at the play setting and on trips to external facilities.
- Take any action required to ensure the safety and welfare of children and report any concern immediately to the Nursery Manager.
- Ensure good communication with staff and parents/carers.
Qualifications
Essential
- Recognised Level 3 qualification.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Sufficient understanding and use of English.
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS.
- Ability to work as a team member and manage and organise own workload.
- Ability to plan, provide and evaluate a wide range of play and learning opportunities which meet children’s individual needs.
- Ability to be a reflective practitioner to develop your practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all children, staff and families.
- Ability to support and develop an inclusive environment encouraging diversity.
- Experience of working with children aged under 5.
- Experience of providing play and learning opportunities for children.
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid certificate.
- Art, craft, games or sport skills.
- Experience of supporting children with additional needs.
- Experience of liaising with parents/carers and involving them in their child's care.
