Our Room Leaders assist in the day to day management of the setting, whilst leading their room team to enable children to engage in a range of play and learning opportunities. You will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years experience in a childcare setting.
  • Experience in a leadership or management position.
  • A great understanding of the EYFS.

Skills:

  • A passion and enthusiasm for childcare.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
  • Good timekeeping, organisation and reliability.

Salary: £33,000

Working Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Essential Competencies:

  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Sufficient understanding and use of English.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS.
  • Ability to work as a team member and leader but also manage and organise own workload.
  • Ability to plan, provide and evaluate a wide range of play and learning opportunities which meet children's individual needs.
  • Ability to complete basic administrative tasks.
  • Ability to be a reflective practitioner in order to develop your practice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all children, staff and families.
  • Ability to support and develop an environment which is inclusive for all and encourages diversity.

Desirable Skills:

  • Skills in Art / Craft / Games / Sport.
  • ICT Skills.

Experience:

  • Experience of working with children aged under 5.
  • Experience of providing play and learning opportunities for children.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of supporting children with additional needs.
  • Experience of liaising with parents/carers and involving them in their child's care.
