Nurseplus is one of the UK’s leading healthcare recruitment agencies, specialising in the supply of high-quality temporary and permanent staff across the healthcare sector. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our Basingstoke branch, with a strong focus on sales, business development, and client growth.
The Role
As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you will play a key role in driving branch performance through new business development, account management, and commercial recruitment activity. This is a hands-on, sales-focused role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business through outbound sales activity, networking, and relationship building
- Manage and grow a portfolio of healthcare clients, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and service delivery
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with branch and company targets
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, from client requirements and candidate attraction through to placement
- Negotiate terms, fees, and service agreements with clients
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Act as a senior figure within the branch, supporting and mentoring junior consultants where required
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and Nurseplus standards
About You
- Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant, ideally within healthcare or a high-volume recruitment environment
- Strong background in sales and business development, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive, results-driven approach
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Motivated, resilient, and comfortable working autonomously
