As a Support Worker, you'll be providing high-quality care across a range of settings within the social care sector, from elderly care to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and more complex care needs. What You'll Be Doing
- Welfare Monitoring: Actively monitoring the wellbeing of asylum seekers in accommodation.
- Practical Support: Offering guidance on accessing essential services, such as health, education, and legal aid, and assisting with asylum support.
- Emotional & Social Support: Providing support and helping individuals adjust to a new environment, often managing complex cases and vulnerability.
- Safe Accommodation & Safeguarding: Ensuring residents' safety, addressing safeguarding issues, and liaising with Supervisors/Managers.
- Communication: Acting as a key point of contact for service users.
What We're Looking For
- You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
- Flexibility in your availability, with the ability to travel to different care settings.
- A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
- A clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
- Driving license and use of a vehicle.
