Nursem is a UK skincare brand with a simple purpose: to care for hands that care for others. Founded by paediatric nurse Antonia and her husband Jonny, Nursem was created to help protect and soothe skin damaged by relentless hand washing — something experienced daily by nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals. Today, we’re the fastest-growing hand care brand in the UK, with over 20,000 five-star reviews, multiple award wins, and a signature hand cream often described as life-changing.
At the heart of everything we do is the Nursem Promise. For every product sold, we donate a month’s worth of hand care to a nurse, midwife or other healthcare professional in the NHS. To date, we’ve delivered over 655,000 Promises, and we’re only just getting started.
With ambitious plans to grow Nursem into a household name over the next 2–3 years, we’re looking for a Social Media & Brand Executive to join our team. This is a hybrid role based in Newcastle, offering the chance to work closely with the founders while enjoying flexibility. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in a growing business, bring our brand to life through thoughtful, scroll-stopping content, and make a genuine difference to the lives of thousands of NHS healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Create entertaining, engaging and on-brand content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Write clear, warm and engaging copy aligned with Nursem’s tone of voice.
- Actively engage with the Nursem community on a daily basis, including comments and messages.
- Monitor social and wider cultural trends, bringing fresh and relevant creative ideas to the team.
- Create well-researched blog content that supports brand storytelling and SEO.
- Support the planning, briefing and communication with external content creators and UGC partners.
- Build and manage creator collaborations, including gifting and content usage permissions.
- Support the Head of Marketing with the planning and execution of brand campaigns and key moments (e.g. launches, Nurses Month, Christmas), including in-person events/pop-ups.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of photoshoots, including shot lists and asset organisation.
- Support gifting campaigns, including packing, tracking and follow-ups.
- Help maintain brand consistency across social, content and creator activity.
- Schedule and publish content accurately and consistently across all social channels.
- Maintain a well-organised content calendar aligned with the wider brand marketing calendar.
- Monitor competitor activity and trends within hand care, body care and skincare to keep content relevant and inspiring.
- Use analytics tools to track and evaluate content performance across channels.
- Produce clear and concise monthly performance reports.
- Use insights to optimise content, refine messaging and support the wider brand strategy.
- Test and learn across formats, hooks and posting times, sharing learnings with the team.
- Work closely with the wider team to support campaigns and key trading moments.
- Support product launches, content shoots and cross-channel activity.
- Confidently manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow processes, meet deadlines and help ensure smooth project delivery.
You’re excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial skincare brand and you’re not afraid to roll your sleeves up. You’re comfortable figuring things out, spotting problems early and helping find practical solutions. You’re a confident, resourceful self-starter who enjoys delivering results as part of a close-knit team. You take pride in doing the details well and believe there’s always room to learn, test and improve. You’re creatively minded but well organised, with a natural curiosity for what makes content and brands work. You can juggle multiple tasks, communicate ideas clearly and bring others along with you. Most importantly, you’re warm, caring and approachable, and you’re motivated by being part of a purpose-led brand that gives back and is building something genuinely special.
This role is for you if…- You enjoy hands-on social and brand work and like being involved in the day-to-day.
- You’re early in your career but keen to grow into a broader brand role over time.
- You’re comfortable creating content yourself: filming, writing, editing and posting.
- You like working to a plan, but can also adapt when things change.
- You care about purpose-led brands and genuinely connect with Nursem’s mission and community.
- You enjoy collaborating and supporting others, rather than owning everything solo.
