Nursem is a UK skincare brand with a simple purpose: to care for hands that care for others. Founded by paediatric nurse Antonia and her husband Jonny, Nursem was created to help protect and soothe skin damaged by relentless hand washing — something experienced daily by nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals. Today, we’re the fastest-growing hand care brand in the UK, with over 20,000 five-star reviews, multiple award wins, and a signature hand cream often described as life-changing. You’ll find Nursem through our DTC store, Boots, Amazon, Space NK and other nationwide retailers — with big ambitions to become the UK’s number one hand care brand. At the heart of everything we do is the Nursem Promise. For every product sold, we donate a month’s worth of hand care to a nurse, midwife or other healthcare professional in the NHS. To date, we’ve delivered over 655,000 Promises, and we’re only just getting started.

With ambitious plans to grow Nursem into a household name over the next 2–3 years, we’re looking for an Operations & Supply Chain Manager to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a remote role, offering the chance to work closely with the founders while enjoying flexibility. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in a growing business, leading our operations and supply chain department, and make a genuine difference to the lives of thousands of healthcare professionals.

The Role

  • 12m Fixed Term Contract: Operations & Supply Chain Manager (Salary: £40k - £50k Pro Rata + Performance Bonus).
  • Important: This is a full time role, however we are open to considering PT applicants (min. 24hrs over 5 days).
  • Location: Remote (UK Only). This role will require attendance at our head office in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne a minimum of once per quarter – with other occasional UK based travel expected.

This is a perfect role for someone looking to manage Nursem's day-to-day operations of a fast growing consumer brand. As we continue to scale and expand our availability, across online marketplaces & platforms, physical retail stores, and via distribution partnerships – we require a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee our omnichannel operation and drive efficiency and excellence in our processes. The Operations Manager will work closely with the whole Nursem team and our external partners in the supply chain. As a key functional role within the business, and vital to support our rapid growth, you will support everything along the critical flow of goods, from design/development, supply, warehousing/fulfilment/delivery to final customers/shoppers. You will ensure the manufacturing, fulfilment and warehousing operations are continuously improving, scaling and delivering excellence to our business and customers every day – and, as things within a start-up change quickly you’ll be flexible, pragmatic and have a strong can-do attitude towards finding solutions and ‘making it work’. It is important that you are comfortable with a business scaling rapidly and have previous experience of building processes and systems to support a business's various stages of growth.
