Nurse Seekers are recruiting an experienced Speech and Language Therapist on behalf of a highly regarded specialist SEND school supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with complex autism and learning difficulties in the Chester area. This is a rare opportunity to work in a fully integrated, transdisciplinary model where therapy is central to pupils' daily learning.
The Role:
- Onsite, permanent position (39 weeks a year)
- Highly competitive salary, paid evenly over 12 months
- Small caseload – typically classes of 6–7 pupils
- Weekly hands-on input with no pressure to discharge
- Work alongside Speech and Language Therapists, OTs, and Behaviour Analysts
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist speech, language, and communication support
- Provide direct and indirect therapy, including AAC
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff and multi-disciplinary colleagues
- Contribute to EHCPs, reviews, and outcome monitoring
About You:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC registered)
- Experience supporting children and young people with autism and complex needs
- Confident, evidence-based practitioner
