The Role

  • As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day running of the practice, delivering outstanding nursing care while working closely with the Veterinary Surgeons and wider clinical team.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Delivering exceptional nursing care to a varied caseload, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and exotic species.
    • Monitoring hospitalised patients, administering medications and intravenous fluids, providing wound care, and ensuring the highest standards of patient welfare.
    • Preparing patients for surgery, assisting throughout procedures, monitoring anaesthesia, and supporting patients during recovery.
    • Performing a range of in-house diagnostic tests, including blood and urine analysis, recording findings accurately, and highlighting any abnormalities.
    • Assisting with radiography by positioning patients safely and producing high-quality diagnostic images.
    • Providing excellent client care by offering advice on preventative healthcare, nutrition, parasite control, weight management, neutering, and long-term condition management.
    • Maintaining exceptional clinical standards by ensuring equipment is prepared, treatment areas remain clean and organised, and all practice protocols are followed.

About You

  • To be considered, you'll need:
    • RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
    • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    • A positive, proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a close-knit team.
    • A commitment to continuing professional development and maintaining high clinical standards.

Working Pattern
