Our client is seeking an experienced, creative and reflective Occupational Therapist to join and lead a specialist Occupational Therapy service within a highly regarded community-based acquired brain injury rehabilitation setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with leadership experience and a passion for neurorehabilitation to play a key role in shaping and developing an established OT service while delivering specialist rehabilitation as part of an interdisciplinary team.

You will lead a team of experienced Occupational Therapists delivering high-quality, specialist rehabilitation for adults living with the effects of acquired brain injury. The service supports individuals with conditions including:

  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Stroke
  • Brain infection
  • Hypoxia
  • Brain tumour

Working within a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to person-centred rehabilitation delivered across a purpose-built centre, clients’ homes and community environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of a high-quality Occupational Therapy service across the main site and satellite provision.
  • Provide professional leadership and governance for Occupational Therapy practice.
  • Deliver specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for adults following acquired brain injury.
  • Ensure effective clinical and professional supervision arrangements for Occupational Therapy staff.
  • Support and maintain student placements and professional development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external services, networks and universities.
  • Act as a specialist resource to the wider professional community.
  • Contribute to the strategic development and ongoing improvement of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation service.
