Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded independent preparatory school in Surrey for a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to join their team on a fixed-term basis for one term with a view to go full time but this is not a requirement. This is a fantastic opportunity for a patient and nurturing Registered Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of children within a supportive school environment.
The Role
- Act as the first point of contact for medical care within the school, providing nursing support and first aid to pupils and staff.
- Act as the first responder in any medical emergency, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the school community.
Working Hours
- Monday: 08:00 – 16:30
- Tuesday: 08:00 – 16:30
- Wednesday: 08:00 – 13:00
The contract will run from 20th April 2026 to 1st July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and nursing care to pupils and staff.
- Act as the first responder in medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Support the overall health and wellbeing of the school community.
- Liaise with staff and parents where appropriate regarding medical matters.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
- Experience working with children or within a school setting is desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
