Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded independent preparatory school in Surrey for a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to join their team on a fixed-term basis for one term with a view to go full time but this is not a requirement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a patient and nurturing Registered Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of children within a supportive school environment.
The RoleThe successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for medical care within the school, providing nursing support and first aid to pupils and staff. You will also act as the first responder in any medical emergency, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the school community.
Working Hours
Monday: 08:00 β 16:30
Tuesday: 08:00 β 16:30
Wednesday: 08:00 β 13:00
The contract will run from 20th April 2026 to 1st July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first aid and nursing care to pupils and staff
Act as the first responder in medical emergencies
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Support the overall health and wellbeing of the school community
Liaise with staff and parents where appropriate regarding medical matters
Requirements
Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
Experience working with children or within a school setting is desirable
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
