Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an excellent Ofsted rated “Outstanding” Day Nursery who are looking to recruit a Nursery Manager for their quality purpose-built setting near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The ideal Nursery Manager candidate will manage, mentor, and support other members of the nursery staff team and ensure that the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual education and care provided to children in the nursery is of the highest standard.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Work with the directors to develop and review a curriculum, programme of activities, and policies to ensure high-quality education and care, delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage where appropriate.
- Familiarize with and implement the nursery policies, curriculum, and programme.
- Manage and support all staff members, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, and family members, soliciting their views and communicating them to the directors.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of Health and Safety within the nursery.
- Represent the nursery as an ambassador and work with staff to maintain the nursery’s reputation as a centre of excellence.
Requirements:
- Early years education and care qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; degree-qualified practitioners preferred.
- Experience in a Nursery manager role.
- Understanding of special educational needs and equality of opportunity.
- Paediatric first aid and food hygiene trained.
- Experience in staff training and development.
