What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking healthy, balanced meals for around 65‑70 children and 20‑25 staff.
- Delivering meals on time, following structured menus with care and creativity.
- Adapting dishes to meet allergies, dietary needs, and cultural preferences.
- Working closely with a kitchen assistant to keep daily operations running smoothly.
- Taking full responsibility for a clean, safe, and well‑organised kitchen and dining space.
- Keeping all equipment, utensils, and storage areas spotless and in order.
- Monitoring kitchen supplies, reducing waste, and ensuring stock is always maintained.
- Upholding high food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
- Maintaining accurate records for cleaning, food safety, and temperature checks.
- Communicating clearly with team members and management to support a positive environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience cooking for large groups in a Nursery or School kitchen.
- Confidence managing a kitchen independently and leading daily operations.
