An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to oversee the operation of two 2-bed EBD children’s homes, located approximately one mile apart in the New Milton area. This opportunity would suit either an established Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager looking to step up, provided they already hold their Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of both homes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and full compliance with all relevant legislation and Ofsted requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of both children’s homes
  • Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015)
  • Promote positive outcomes and high standards of emotional and physical care for young people
  • Develop and maintain effective care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, professionals, and external agencies
  • Provide strong leadership, motivation, and development to the staff teams
  • Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and performance management
  • Lead recruitment and ensure robust safer recruitment practices are followed
  • Oversee staff training and development to ensure high-quality practice
  • Monitor incidents, identify lessons learned, and implement service improvements
  • Manage budgets, resources, and ensure the homes remain safe and well maintained
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support when required
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards are fully implemented
Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (Essential)
  • Previous experience within children’s residential care
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve positive outcomes
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
