The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, leading shifts, supporting your colleagues and ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care at all times.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident taking responsibility, has strong medication administration experience and prides themselves on being reliable, committed and compassionate.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading the Team
- Lead shifts, ensuring exceptional standards of care are maintained throughout.
- Support, mentor and motivate Care Assistants during each shift.
- Allocate workloads and ensure care is delivered safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with management to ensure the smooth running of the home.
- Lead by example, promoting professionalism, teamwork and high standards.
Providing Outstanding Care
- Deliver high-quality personal care tailored to each resident's individual needs.
- Support residents with mobility, nutrition, hydration and daily living activities.
- Promote dignity, independence and choice in everything you do.
- Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing, escalating concerns appropriately.
Medication & Clinical Responsibilities
- Safely administer medication with confidence and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate medication records in line with best practice.
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes promptly.
