Job Description
Live in Carer – Ottery St Mary
Nurse Seekers are currently looking for a dedicated and caring Live-in Carer to support a client close to Ottery St Mary, Devon. If you're empathetic, reliable, and want to make a genuine difference in someone's life, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Live-in Carer, you’ll reside in the client’s home and provide one-on-one support tailored to their individual care plan. Your daily tasks may include:
- Personal Care
- Medication Support
- Meal Preparation and Household Tasks
- Companionship and Emotional Support
- Mobility Assistance and Enabling Activities
- Working closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
What We’re Looking For
- A kind, patient and respectful attitude
- Previous care experience
- Excellent communication in English (spoken and written)
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- A flexible and proactive approach to care
- Willingness to undergo training and ongoing development
- Ability to commit to a live-in rota
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Dementia or Alzheimer’s care experience
- Manual handling and mobility support
- Medication administration
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
