The Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents throughout the night, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable and well cared for.
Working as part of a dedicated night team, you will provide compassionate, person-centred support to older people, including those living with dementia and other complex conditions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing compassionate care and support throughout the night
- Assisting with personal care and daily living needs
- Supporting residents with mobility and wellbeing
- Providing specialist support to residents living with dementia
- Responding appropriately to residents' needs during the night
- Building positive and trusting relationships with residents
- Promoting dignity, independence and choice
- Supporting residents with hydration and comfort
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Reporting any concerns and working closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of care
About You
- Minimum 6 months' experience within a care setting
- Caring, compassionate and reliable approach
- Experience or an interest in dementia care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for supporting older people
- Patient and understanding approach
- Ability to deliver person-centred care with dignity and respect
- Comfortable working independently during night shifts
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role
