The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of outstanding care while providing leadership and guidance to the care team during day shifts.
Working closely with residents, families, nurses, and colleagues, you will help maintain high standards of care, ensuring residents receive compassionate support tailored to their individual needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting care staff during day shifts
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Assisting residents with personal care and daily living activities
- Supporting medication administration and monitoring
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
- Promoting a safe, positive, and welcoming environment
- Supporting residents' wellbeing, independence, and engagement
- Acting as a role model and mentor for the wider care team
About You
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader, or similar role within a nursing, residential, or dementia care setting
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care desirable
- Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia
- Medication administration experience desirable
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Compassionate, proactive, and team-focused approach
- Passionate about delivering outstanding care and enhancing residents' quality of life
