Job Summary
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the team at a warm and welcoming Residential home in Redditch.This full-time role is perfect for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality care and has the confidence to lead by example.
You’ll be working day shifts, providing hands-on care and supporting the daily running of the home while leading a team of care assistants.If you\'re passionate about caring for others and have experience administering medication and overseeing care plans, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high standards of personal and emotional care to residents
- Supporting residents with daily activities and promoting independence
- Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
- Leading and supporting care staff during shifts
- Completing accurate care records and documentation
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Supporting the Nurse or Home Manager with care planning and daily operations
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and dignified environment for all residents
Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader in a residential or nursing home
- Confident and experienced in medication handling and administration
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A genuine passion for delivering person-centred care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, responsible, and calm under pressure
Desirable:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Knowledge of CQC standards and care planning
