School Nurse (Maternity Cover) – London

Nurse Seekers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading independent sixth form and private school in central London.The School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate School Nurse to provide vital healthcare support on a maternity cover basis from September 2025.

The Role:

Key duties include:

  • Treating minor injuries and managing chronic conditions
  • Administering and managing medication safely
  • Maintaining up-to-date student medical records
  • Supporting safeguarding and pastoral initiatives
  • Liaising with parents, GPs, and external healthcare providers
  • Participating in health promotion and emergency readiness training
  • Being part of the on-call rota for overnight and weekend support

About You:

  • NMC-registered (RGN or RSCN)
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
  • Calm under pressure, with a reassuring and professional manner
  • Confident in wound care, safeguarding, and health education
