Nurse Seekers are recruiting Senior Care Assistants on behalf of our client, a specialist mental health nursing home in Lytham St Annes.
We are seeking compassionate, experienced care professionals who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care while promoting dignity and independence.
- Support residents with daily living, emotional and mental health needs.
- Administer medication in line with training and care plans, where required.
- Lead and support care staff during shifts.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' wellbeing.
- Support individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Promote a safe, respectful and welcoming environment.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant.
- Experience in mental health, nursing home, residential care or a similar setting.
- A caring, patient and compassionate approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care.
- The confidence to take responsibility and support junior staff.
- NVQ Level 3or 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
