Zero2Five are proud to be working with a quality private nursery based near Forest Row, East Sussex, who are seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to lead their Two-Year-Old Room. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Early Years professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive nursery environment that is committed to delivering outstanding childcare and early education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team within the Two-Year-Old Room
  • Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's learning and development
  • Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate learning and development records
  • Complete and oversee two-year progress reviews
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external professionals
  • Support the early identification of additional needs and appropriate interventions
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and EYFS requirements are consistently met
  • Support, mentor and develop team members within the room
  • Maintain high standards of care, hygiene and record keeping

Requirements:

  • Relevant Early Years Qualification (Level 3 or above)
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience working with two-year-old children
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
